  1. Regulation of civil aircraft to apply for taitung rift valley training area
    1. When applying for Taitung Rift Valley training area, a form shall be submitted by applicant to Kaohsiung Approach 3 working days prior to (no later than 1200 local time) training flight. When Kaohsiung Approach approves the application after surveying the use of training area, Kaohsiung Approach will inform Air force Combatant Command via JCC; otherwise reply to the applicant with disapproval directly.
    2. Rules for pilots:
      1. A FPL shall be filed before entering Taitung Rift Valley training area.
      2. Remain within the training area and maintain level or levels approved.
      3. Enter or leave Taitung Rift Valley training area shall via corridor C12, the north point is Chishang , and the south point is Luye. After completion of training, approval of leaving training area form Kaohsiung Approach is required.
      4. Maintain constant radio vigilance and monitor on frequency 121.5 at all time. Take necessary action to return to training area when notified by Kaohsiung Approach.
      5. Set the transponder according to the Kaohsiung Approach's instruction, if encounter the radio failure, pilots shall leave the training area immediately, and set the transponder on MODE 3/A 7600 and fly according to the "lost communication procedures".
      6. If the time period of using Taitung Rift Valley training area differs more than 30 minutes from the original flight plan, the applicant shall apply to Kaohsiung Approach for another arrangement.

    1. When applying for Nanwan training area, a form shall be submitted by applicant to Kaohsiung Approach 3 working days prior to (no later than 1200 local time) training flight.
